P.S.156

In 2014 The Mavis Reid foundation has partnered with P.S. 156 located in Brownsville, Brooklyn to host a community dinner on Thanksgiving Day to feed the less fortunate families of the P.S. 156 school community as well as the homeless within the Brownsville and East New York community. We also sponsored a Holiday Toy Giveaway at the school for the over 300 students whom are housed in the many shelters surroundings the school.

BROOKLYN MEN'S SHELTER

Over the last several years the Mavis Reid Foundation has feed over hundrdes of male residence of many local men's shelters throughout the Brooklyn area. Providing hot meals and great conversations.

LEXINGTON WOMEN'S RESIDENCE

Since 2007 the Mavis Reid Foundation has helped bring Holiday cheer to the female residence of Lexington Women's Residence through entertainment, food, and companionship. To many of the women whom reside here with no family to visit or care for them, the staff of our organization have become like their adopted family.

It's From The Sole

For the past few years the Mavis Reid Foundation has partnered with It's From The Sole non-profit to provide over hundreds of homeless men in the Brooklyn community with brand new footwear on annual basis.
